Rastislav Šutek

Executive Director

Rastislav is the founder of the Platform with practical experience working for several mechanisms of international criminal justice, experience with litigation of international protection cases and experience working for several human rights NGOs. He has done extensive research in the area of public international law and international humanitarian law. Rastislav’s areas of interest include: international courts, technology and law, armed conflicts, Central and Eastern European history.

Snizhana Romashkin

Project Coordinator

Snizhana is currently earning her doctoral degree at Academician Stashis Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems, National Adacemy of Law Sciences of Ukraine. Her specialization is criminal law and the topic of her doctoral research is enforced disappearance. Snizhana is one of the Project Coordinators of the “Admissibility of Ukrainian cases before the ICC” project. Snizhana’s areas of interest include: international criminal law, human rights, criminal law, international humanitarian law.

Filip Šandor

Project Coordinator

Filip is a doctoral candidate in the field of political geography and his research focuses on the spatial aspects of the Slovak foreign policy from a quantitative perspective. Filip’s areas of interest include: geopolitics, international relations, diplomacy and conflicts.

Ambre Karoutsos

Project Coordinator

Ambre holds a Master’s degree in security and terrorism from the University of Kent. She volunteered in several humanitarian and environmental organizations and she is presently pursuing a Master’s degree in political science at the University of Amsterdam. Ambre’s areas of interest include: European Union, cybersecurity, international relations.

Kelly Demjanick

Aakash Chandran

Blog Editorial Board

Aakash is a New Delhi-based international lawyer and researcher who earned his Master’s degree in international law from South Asian University, India. Aakash has been associated with various international tribunals, organisations, and NGOs including the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT), Global Rights Compliance and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Aakash serves as a consulting editor of the Indian Journal of Law and Public Policy (IJLPP). His areas of interest include: public international law, international criminal law and procedure, humanitarian law and human rights, and forced displacement.

Mariia Raievska

Legal Research

Mariia is currently earning her Master’s degree at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Her career started with participation in various moot courts in the field of international criminal law. Francesco Paolo Levantino

Paolo is a graduate of the Global Campus of Human Rights. Before obtaining the European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA), he studied Law at the University of Palermo (BA, MA, cum laude). Paolo has experience in the field of migration and refugee law and in the promotion of good governance and citizens’ participation. Paolo’s areas of interests include: the rule of law and criminal justice, the intersection of technology and human rights, international peace and security.

Pamela Dávila

Peace & Security Research

Pamela holds a Master’s degree in International Peace and Security Studies from Korea University. Prior to her graduate studies, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and international relations at Universidad Casa Grande in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Her research is mostly oriented towards human security and the protection of human rights in conflict areas, focusing on gender based violence, women’s rights and health. She previously worked as Executive Assistant of International Cooperation at the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in Korea and as International Relations Coordinator at Universidad Casa Grande. She currently works as the main International Politics lecturer at Universidad Casa Grande, teaching basic international relations theory, war theory, development, cooperation, and other current political issues.

Anisha Maulida

Anisha holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Indonesia. She is currently pursuing her MPhil in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Oslo. Prior to her Master’s degree, she was involved in several research projects and participated in various Model UN. Anisha’s areas of interest include: nuclear disarmament, the dynamics of peace and conflict in the MENA region, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Clara Bou Gharios

Social Media Manager

Clara holds a Master’s degree in law and has completed the Inter-University Programme on International Criminal Law and Procedure set up by the T.M.C. Asser Institute and the Outreach and Legacy Section of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. Clara works as a legal researcher in an NGO with a mandate to enhance rule of law and social justice. Clara’s areas of interest include: international criminal law, human rights.

Geofrey Mbui Robert

Weekly News Recap

Geofrey is a lawyer from Kenya and a graduate of the Kenyatta University, School of Law. He has obtained experience in human rights, refugees’ issues and immigration, children rights, international peace and security issues and environmental law when working as a research consultant, legal officer, and research officer for over five years. His recent research focused on the Israel-Palestine conflict with special focus on the rights of civilians in armed conflict. Geofrey’s areas of interest include: international humanitarian law, international peace and security, refugee rights, and environmental law.

Ahmet Yavuzel

Web Administration

Ahmet administers the website of the association. He was active on several occasions as a volunteer and obtained training in the human rights field. Ahmet actively engages in the area of refugee protection also by recording and editing documentaries about refugees. Ahmet’s areas of interest include: history of the Middle East, cinema, literature.
