Sabrina joined the Platform’s Central Asia programme in October 2022.
Sabrina Lavrut holds an MSc in Conflict Resolution and Governance from the University of Amsterdam. She focused her research on violence emerging in peaceful protests. Previously, she graduated with a BA in International Relations and Russian from the University of Leeds, where she looked at sexual violence in conflict, specifically in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since 2019, Sabrina has worked with organisations that support refugees and asylum seekers across London and Leeds. She has experience working for a UK-based NGO as a researcher that seeks to reduce the impact of armed violence.
