Position Overview
We are expanding our team with a web developer who would ensure the population of our website with attractive and relevant content demonstrating our work. This is a voluntary and unpaid position suitable for a motivated professional with passion and dedication to the mission and values of the organisation who would like to remotely contribute to the organisation’s growth.
Deadline: 30 April 2026 (midnight CET)
Start date: asap
Duration: min. 12 months
Commitment: 5-10h/week, flexible work hours
Location: home office (remote)
Remuneration: unpaid (volunteering)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build, customise, and maintain the website using WordPress and/or Elementor
- Assist in website updates, bug fixes, and performance improvements
- Troubleshoot and fix layout issues and plugin conflicts
- Collaborate with other team members on the population of the website with relevant content
- Ensure websites are responsive and user-friendly
- Install, configure, and update plugins
- Test the website and its pages across browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices and ensure the website is fully responsive and optimised for different devices and screen sizes
- Optimise website performance (image compression, caching, basic speed improvements)
Qualifications
- Familiarity and experience with WordPress and Elementor
- At least a basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team
- Passion and dedication to the mission and values of the organisation, result-driven commitment, ability to work in an international team and handle uncertain situations with flexibility
- Good knowledge of English (min. C1)
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills
- Strong time management skills and organised
