Kirsten joined the Platform team in January 2025 as a researcher with the Indo-Pacific Programme.
Kirsten holds a master’s degree in Law with a specialisation in human rights and international law from the University of Melbourne. She brings more than 10 years of experience in the humanitarian sector through her work with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. She has also volunteered with various human rights and humanitarian organisations in the Asia-Pacific region including Amnesty International, the Association for Aid and Relief, Japan, and the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre. She has a particular interest in research and projects that support refugees, children, or women in the region.
