Leslie Hess

Strategic and Programmatic Advisor

Leslie joined the Platform in 2024 and serves as the Strategic and Programmatic Advisor.

Leslie has been working in international development for over 25 years, managing and implementing a broad range of programmes and projects to support institutions and civil society in achieving progress in areas such as local good governance, public service delivery, gender equality, youth participation, human rights compliance, etc. She served as a US secondee to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for over a decade and has also worked for several US and Europe-based NGOs and the US Peace Corps. She holds an MA in international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, and a BA in economics from Trinity University in San Antionio, Texas. Since the mid-90s, she has worked or studied in Germany, Poland, Italy, Kosovo, and Serbia. She is currently based in Belgrade.
