8 January at 6:30 p.m. KrocΓnova 1, Prague
We invite you to the event where the activities of our Ukraine programme will be presented. The event is part of an outreach campaign for victims and witnesses of war crimes committed in Ukraine. The aim is to help them understand why it is important to investigate these crimes and what legal options exist for victims and witnesses of war crimes on an international level and in individual states, including the Czech and Slovak Republics.
The event accompanies the efforts of the Platform for Peace and Humanity to bring perpetrators of war crimes to justice through international mechanisms and trials based on universal jurisdiction in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
We will discuss:
how we work with victims of war crimes living in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
criminal complaint in the Slovak Republic against Volodymyr Solovyov for a crime of a threat to the peace
individual communication to the UN Human Rights Committee regarding Russian war propaganda
other materials we are working on (forced transfers of children to Russia, crimes in Mariupol)
the possibility of compensation for victims in the future
The event is held in Slovak and Czech with translation into Ukrainian.
Join us on 8 January at 6:30 p.m.
