We invite you to an event to present the activities of our Program for Ukraine. The event is part of an educational campaign for victims and witnesses of war crimes committed in Ukraine. The goal is to help them understand why it is important to investigate these crimes and what legal options exist for victims and witnesses of war crimes at the international level and in individual states, including the Czech and Slovak Republics.
The event accompanies the Platform for Peace and Humanityβs efforts to hold war crimes perpetrators accountable through international mechanisms and trials based on universal jurisdiction in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
We will discuss:
π How we work with war crimes victims living in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
π Criminal complaint in the Slovak Republic against Vladimir Solovyov for a crime under threat of peace
π Appeal to the UN Human Rights Committee regarding Russian war propaganda
π Other materials we are working on (relocation of children to Russia, crimes in Mariupol)
π Possibility of compensation for victims in the future
π§ The event will be held in Slovak and Czech with translation into Ukrainian.
